Freunde & Förderer have been supporting the museum since 2010, when the Förderkreis was founded as a section within the HAG. It feels a special connection to the Historical Museum and supports all its projects such as exhibitions, events and acquisitions.

The Historische-Archäologische Gesellschaft (Historical-Archaeological Society) was founded in 1877 and supports the Historical Museum and the Archaeological Museum.
