The museum has a lot to offer. Here you will find the most important information concerning your visit to the museum, renting rooms and using the public spaces.

We are happy to help you with booking tickets and planning your visit. Find out more about additional services, such as tours, multimedia guides (for guests over 14 years) and culinary offerings in the museum. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have further questions.

The Leopold Sonnemann Hall in the Historical Museum Frankfurt: meetings - celebrations - receptions
Are you looking for a special venue for your event?
Whether cultural event, professional event, reception or meeting, some occasions deserve a unique setting. Because the location contributes to the success of your event - so that your guests will remember you positively for a long time.
The Leopold Sonnemann Hall in the historic Saalhof of the Historical Museum Frankfurt is such a place. Large, bright and equipped with modern technical equipment, it offers a wide range of different possibilities. Its high-standard facilites give every event a special flair, the large window front allows a wide view of the Main and the Eiserner Steg.

The central location makes it an perfect venue for events: directly at the Frankfurter Römer, close to Frankfurt´s Paulskirche, the Museumsufer and the banking district.

Advanced equipment for a variety of possibilities

Due to its size of 171 square metres, its excellent acoustic properties and flexible seating and usability, the Leopold Sonnemann Hall is suitable for a wide range of events.
Whether as an auditorium for cultural events and lectures, as a banquet hall for receptions and formal events, as a music concert hall or as a conference room for meetings and seminars. 13 windows facing the southern bank of the Main, parquet flooring, and lighting that ensure a good atmosphere. In front of the Hall the foyer to the Rententurm with a size of 41 sqm can be used as a reception room or room for individually arranged catering.
Further technical equipment includes a 13 sqm stage, an air-conditioning and sound system, a beamer (1280 x 800 pixels) and a blackout system.

The image archive is the museums' point of contact for scientists, publishers and private individuals who are looking for images of objects from the museum collection, exhibitions or the work of the museum and who want to inquire about rights of use for publications
Photo requests for collection objects and topics are researched after a request. Appointments for film recordings are coordinated. Copyright issues are clarified and user fees are set by contract.

Image request

Upon request, digital image data can be ordered from the museum collection objects that we have produced by commissioned photographers. A small part of the collection objects (about 2,000 out of about 600,000) is already archived in our image database Conluxo and can be made available on order by our contract photographer for download or stored on disk.

Please understand that research in the individual collection areas is currently only possible to a limited extent and therefore not all image requests can be processed.
