Zu ihrer Arbeit schreibt sie: „Eine Rauminstallation und zugleich ein ‚Solitär‘ (..) Begehbar. Versteck, Maskerade, Schutz, Verbot, Verheißung, ewiges Enigma".  Mit ihrer Ausstellung will die Künstlerin dazu animieren,  Vorhänge ein wenig zur Seite zu nehmen und neugierig zu sein.

„Was sagen uns heute die Erinnerungen von gestern?“ „Was heißt Zeitzeugenschaft?“ Diese und weitere Fragen haben 25 Frankfurter*innen im Erinnerungslabor diskutiert. Ihre sehr unterschiedlichen Antworten präsentieren sie in elf Beiträgen in der Sonderausstellung „Zeitzeugenschaft? Ein Erinnerungslabor“. Gleichzeitig wird die Wanderausstellung „Ende der Zeitzeugenschaft?“ gezeigt. Ihr Thema sind Videointerviews mit Überlebenden der Shoah.

Bezugspunkt für beide Ausstellungen ist die Bibliothek der Generationen, die eine Antwort auf die Frage nach dem „Ende der Zeitzeugenschaft“ ist. Hier werden Lebensgeschichten und andere Zeitzeugnisse für kommende Generationen bewahrt. Was wir heute mit diesen Zeitzeugnissen anfangen, welche Erzählungen uns ansprechen und was sie uns sagen, zeigen die Beiträge des Erinnerungslabors.

1674 gründete Benjamin Metzler in Frankfurt ein Handelsunternehmen, das mit Tuchwaren aus Wolle und Leinen, aber auch mit Garnen, Flachs und Kleidung handelte. Der damit verbundene Fernhandel führte dazu, dass auch Geldgeschäfte eine zunehmende Rolle spielten. Bis zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts vollzog sich ein für viele Frankfurter Privatbanken beispielhafter Wandel vom Handels- zum Bankhaus, das bis heute vollständig in Familienbesitz geblieben ist.
Die Geschichte des Bankhauses Metzler ist eng mit der des Finanzplatzes Frankfurt verknüpft: Hier ist seit 1674 nicht nur der Hauptgeschäftssitz, ab 1742 waren Inhabende des Bankhauses beinahe ausnahmslos in der Leitung der Frankfurter Börse vertreten.

Die Kabinett-Ausstellung im 13. Sammlerraum zeichnet mit bisher nie gezeigten Objekten aus dem Firmenarchiv und der Sammlung des Museums eindrücklich 350 Jahre Firmengeschichte nach: über Krisen und Kriege, die erste weibliche Bankerin Frankfurts und die Entwicklung des Bankenbetriebs, von Staatsanleihen bis zur Finanzdienstleistung und Vermögensverwaltung.
