"All people are welcome" is the mission statement of the HMF. As an inclusive museum, it is committed to making its exhibition design, programming and collections accessible to all people. The HMF is a leader in accessibility throughout Germany and also within Europe. The HMF's exhibition content is communicated in a variety of ways: Ample seating, a clear guidance system, easy-to-read and understandable texts, offerings for different senses, diverse tours with multimedia guides, and sensitized staff on site are all part of the idea of the "inclusive museum." The HMF follows a holistic concept of inclusion: inclusive offers can and should be used by all visitors, they reflect the heterogeneity of the museum audience. The HMF's inclusive spectrum is continuously being expanded in cooperation with those affected. The detailed information on the accessibility of the individual establishments can be found on the website of the "Travel for All" project.
