Schopenhauer's Frankfurt

From October 30, 2019
Biographical Cabinet

A biographical cabinet in the ‘Citizens’ Town’ gallery of the permanent exhibition "Frankfurt Once?" is now being dedicated to the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, who lived in Frankfurt from 1833 until his death in 1860. Against the background of his very mindfully chosen place of residence in Frankfurt, the exhibition will display aspects of his person, his view of human nature, and his work. The cabinet exhibition coincides with the 200th anniversary of the first publication of Schopenhauer's major work "The World as Will and Representation".

The Schopenhauer cabinet was created in cooperation with the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg Frankfurt.
